St. Thomas More Academy Captures CCAL Ultimate Frisbee Crown
May 14, 2011 - On a beautiful, overcast, cool Saturday morning five teams came together (Clover Garden could not make it) on the Emerson Waldorf School Field to determine who was the best team in Ultimate Frisbee this season. The first round was a round robin in which every team played the four other teams. The two top teams of that round, St. Thomas More and Emerson Waldorf, played for first with St. Thomas More confidently defeating a young EWS team. Camelot and Pace were to play for third place, but Pace Academy forfeited due to injuries and asked Woods to play in their place. Woods and Camelot had a close match but Camelot emerged victorious in third place.  The award for "The Most Spirited Team" went to Woods Charter School, which also boasted the tournament's "Most Spirited Player" award-winner, Taylor Walker.

The intention of every Ultimate Frisbee game is to have fun, be competitive, and be a good sport. That was definitely achieved this year. We look forward to another great season next Spring.
