CCAL PHILOSOPHY
Several small private and charter schools in the Durham, Burlington, Cary, Roxboro and Chapel Hill area started the Central Carolina Athletic League in 2006. The CCAL has now grown to include Durham, Wake, Chatham and Person counties. Due to the size of member schools, joining an existing conference had been challenging. By creating this League, we have realized our vision of providing quality athletic competitive opportunities for our student athletes. Each member school understands and promotes the importance of academics and athletics as a partnership in nurturing the physical, cognitive, and social development of its student athletes. Each member school is committed to modeling personal integrity, responsibility to self and others, commitment to a team, and sportsmanship, regardless of outcome. We strive to promote these values as an extension of the educational process.
